Today’s solocast topic is: 5 Core Ways to Strengthen Your Intuition for Daily Life
Intuition is such an important thing for us to develop. It’s only been in the past few years that I’ve realized the importance of intuition as the inner guidance that allows us to flow through life, discerning, perceiving, feeling into the best decisions. Moment to moment, day by day, whether it’s what’s the best thing to put into our body, how to nourish ourselves, care for ourselves, or be in the right relationship. What’s the best thing to say right now? Is this the best project to put our energy into?
When we tap into intuition, we start to move past confusion and the constant wasting of energy by going in circles, getting really confused by outside information. Intuition can allow us to streamline our lives and to feel more fulfillment, peace, success and joy. There’s a lot of research around understanding intuition in a deeper way. And in my new book, You Are More Than You Think You Are, in chapter 11, You Are An Intuitive Body, I point to some of this research.
Intuition is something that can feel a bit hard to pinpoint, but it’s that inner voice and the voice of the true self. It’s the voice of you getting guidance beneath the fear, beneath the mind chatter. And when we learn to harness that inner voice, it opens up our life to feel more in flow and to feel less impeded by confusion and fear. We can then start to feel happier and question ourselves less. We start to live more instead of sinking and over analyzing and obsessing. I’m very excited about sharing some very practical tips to get your started on strengthening your own intuition.

Kimberly: 00:01 Hi loves and welcome to our Monday solocast, where we have a very important topic for you today. It’s core ways, 5 Core Ways to Strengthen Your Intuition for Daily Life. And intuition is such an important thing for us to develop. I didn’t really realize this until, you know, as an adult, the past few years I’ve realized the importance of intuition, but intuition is the inner guidance that allows us to flow through life, discerning, perceiving, feeling into the best decisions. Moment to moment, day by day, whether it’s the best thing to put into our body, how do, how do we nourish ourselves? How do we take care of ourselves? Is this the right relationship? What’s the best thing to say right now, is this the best project to put energy towards, uh, our energy into, so moment to moment, all of the time, when we tap into intuition, we start to move past confusion and the con instant wasting of energy by spinning our, you know, our energy around going in circles, getting really confused over relying on outside information.
Kimberly: 01:13 So intuition can allow us to streamline our lives and to feel more fulfillment and peace and success and joy. There’s a lot of research that they’re starting to try to, um, create around understanding intuition in a deeper way. And in my new book, you are more than you think you are. Um, in chapter, um, chapter is this chapter 11, you are an intuitive body. I point to some of this research, um, one, uh, one researcher from the university of new south Wales talked about how unconscious intuition informs so much of our decision making. And this researcher says the data finding suggests that we can use unconscious information in our body or brain to help guide us through life, to enable better, faster decisions. And to be more confident in the decisions we make, this is the researcher, Joel Pearson, and then another, uh, researcher out of the max plank Institute for human development in Berlin says that rarely do we make decisions on the basis of reason alone, especially when the problems are complex. There’s a form of, of, um, this is they’re studying to see intuition as a form of unconscious intelligence and it goes on and on psychology today, points about, uh, talked about how, um, Nobel laureates had discussed their use of intuition in their groundbreaking, um, experiments and papers.
Kimberly: 02:45 So intuition is something that’s a bit, um, you know, it can feel a bit hard to pinpoint, but it is that inner voice. It’s the voice of the true self. It’s the voice of you getting guidance beneath the fear beneath the mind chatter. So when we learn to harness that inner voice, again, it just opens up our life to feel, uh, more in flow and to feel like we’re less, um, impeded by confusion and going around in circles and, uh, being guided instead by fear, we start to rise of above that and we start to see our lives open up for me, the birth of more intuition meant a lot, a lot, much easier time with food and with, um, just my day to day flow. And I didn’t feel as depleted at the end of the day, I felt more confident. I started to just feel happier in general. Intuition, I think is the precursor to joy because we start to question ourselves less and the path of our lives, and we just start to live more instead of sinking and overanalyzing and obsessing. So I’m very excited about our show today. And I have some very practical tips that I am excited air with you.

Solocast: 5 Core Ways to Strengthen Your Intuition for Daily Life
Kimberly: 06:13 All right, all that being said, let’s get into our show today. Practical ways to strengthen your intuition, to move forward into living your best life. So, as I mentioned, intuition is something that maybe you can’t just pin down, you know, um, black and white, it’s not this sort of quantitative numerical structure. It’s the feeling, it’s the gut feeling that comes from inside of you. It’s this, um, you know what Paramahansa Yogananda, the great yoga guru calls, the infallible counsel of the inner voice. So it’s important that we of course gather information and we see what’s going on. You know, what’s going on in the world, what’s happening?
Kimberly: 07:12 What, what is happening in the situation. But ultimately we filter that information through discernment, through our own intuition about going beyond just the hard facts and figures into the feeling into this, you know, I don’t know exactly what it is, but I really feel guided to do this or that. And in life we can’t just go by hard facts and figures. We see that if we do that, you know, we I’m paper, someone may feel like the best business partner or the best husband, or, you know, the best wife or whatever, but it’s your intuition that will allow you to read between the lines sensing someone’s character, someone’s integrity. Um, the, the truth of this situation, which may feel nice, but something about it may feel off or on the outset. You know, I, I, I talk about the example of my own husband in this chapter, where on the surface, we seemed very different and we had different interests and we certainly look very different as far as our style and the way we present ourselves.
Kimberly: 08:14 But underneath that, my intuition could sense a, a deeper soul connection. So if we’re just staying on the level of, of surface and looking at things that way we can miss out on big opportunities and incredible relationships. So it’s really important that we learn to go beyond that and, and listen to our hearts, listen to the, to the voice of our guts, um, that gut instinct, and that really starts to change and shift our whole lives in my life. Listening to my intuition has opened up soulmate love family. Um, it’s opened up so much for me in my career and, you know, feeling that yes, when we, when we bought our house, I also talk about this in the book, in the abundance chapter, it was the third house we looked at. We just went for it and thank God because the market quickly went bananas.
Kimberly: 09:04 This is right at the beginning of the pandemic, we bought our house. We moved in November, 2019, you know, right before everything hit. So intuition allows us to change a, our relationship as well, move beyond the rigid constraints of say like time and space, because sometimes we feel things and it could take longer other per people might perceive as longer or in the case of my hu husband. And I, you know, we just felt it was the right decision to make with a house or even to get married in a, you know, what one might think is a relatively short amount of time, but time, space, love, wisdom, beauty. All of these things cannot be quantitatively measured. It’s when we go to a different level of energy and learning to tap into this deeper portal of energy will allow you to create things in the world that other people, you know, may think are out of the box, but can be, you know, wildly successful because you’re tapping into something below the surface.
Kimberly: 10:02 It allows you to just have a much wider, um, viewpoint of looking at decisions. I feel like, and to come from a, from a deeper intelligence, deep, a deeper way. So if you recall your own life, different ways that intuition have played a part you can think about when you, when you went with your gun gut instinct. And so think to yourself, how did that work out for you? Or you sort of overwrote it. And at first there was a, oh, yes, I wanna order this on the menu, but then you doubted yourself or you started to see what your best friend was ordering or whatever. And then you went in a different direction and then later you can think, oh, you know, how did that work out? Maybe it worked out okay. But I actually, you know, I think about it been better if I just went with what my initial, um, gut instinct was.
Kimberly: 10:47 So the more we clarify that the means the more we can, um, use that as guidance in our life and, you know, across the board food decisions, how to take of our body, our work relationships, our personal relationships, so on and so forth. So this is a really important, um, topic. I mentioned, again, there’s a whole chapter about this in the new book called you are an intuitive body. And this goes into the science. This goes into, you know, practices, chapter 11, starting here on page 1 29 in the new book. So I definitely recommend that you check out that chapter as well today. We’re gonna go, um, I’m gonna give you some, uh, some real practical tools to hone intuition in your life, starting right here right now. So let’s get into that. All that being said, let’s start talking about some, you know, real like, okay, this sounds great.
#1 Intuitive Tip: Keep the body clean
Kimberly: 11:40 Intuition is important. We say, it’s like, I, I feel this flow. It means that we’re not being, um, pushed anymore just by fear, but we’re going underneath to what is the real guidance here? So the first practical tip in, you know, really strengthening your intuition is to keep your body clean. A clean body is more sensitive to the messages of intuition. A clean body can, has more heightened sensitivity, so to speak in terms of bringing you the messages from the inside. A so what I mean by that is, let’s say that our bodies are desensitized. Maybe we haven’t been eating as cleanly. There’s a lot of buildup in your body. Perhaps there may be, you know, bloating or a lot of, um, acids heaviness when we’re eating in a certain way. Let’s say just a lot of meat or a lot of, or a lot of gluten, a lot of sugar, our bodies, um, these external substances clog the body.
Kimberly: 12:39 And then the body isn’t able to discern and also transmit clear messages because there’s so much weighing it down. Like I said, the, the, the gassiness or the ups and downs of a sugar crash, or just feeling so depleted from eating something heavy that you just pass out, um, or you’re exhausted, or, you know, whatever it is, if we don’t keep the body clear and clean intuition will be much harder to discern over time. So this means lifestyle protocols. It means adding a lot of fiber into your diet, strengthening your digestion, your so Luna, SBO probiotics each and every day, which of course improve digestion. And they improve the messages that our, um, bodies are giving us, um, from the little, you know, the, the smaller brain and the gut. So to speak into the larger brain, it’s so important that our micro is in the best state.

Kimberly: 14:41 So eating a wide range of foods to strengthen your microbiome in general, all of this is really important. Um, also circulation, so exercising, walking, doing, uh, YOIC twists and all the ways, you know, we talk about a massage here, a Bianca self massage, dry brushing, which is really great for your lymphatic system to keep toxins moving through. So physically manipulating your body to keep it clear and clean and supported. All of that is actually gonna help your intuition because it keeps physical energy, uh, moving everything is energy underneath. So the first place we wanna work is just making sure we keep our bodies as clean and clear as possible detox. #2 Intuitive Tip: Learn to understand your feelings beyond your thoughts, the intuitive messages
Kimberly: 16:03 Okay? So the, the second tip that I have for you in strengthening, strengthening your intuition is learning to go beyond thought feeling the difference between thoughts and feelings discerning the difference thinking is not intuition. Okay? So we’re overthinking thinking is part of the gathering process where we, we may see what other people are doing. We gather research, we can see trends. We see what’s going on in the outside world. This is part of beta brain waves. This is part of your thinking process, right? So this is a level of conscious thought, but intuition is beyond that. Intuition is we take that gathering information and we need to start to make space for our feelings. So what’s arising inside of us. What is our gut telling us of about this information? So it’s using our body’s cues and wisdoms. So it’s starting to tune into things like, oh, this makes me feel a tight tuning in my belly or in my heart, or I’m feeling, um, expansion, or I’m starting to get a headache or a little bit of a stomach ache, or I’m feeling loops not in my stomach or butterflies.
Kimberly: 17:16 What is going on in your body at any particular time? Now over time we learn to discern, oh, this is a, a trigger a wound. This is something that doesn’t sit right with me. And we start to, you know, notice that as well. We notice those patterns. And then we also start to notice as we’re gathering information that in a deeper, deeper place, there’s another source of information that’s coming from the wisdom from the true self it’s coming from, you know, where we’re plugged into the, to the mainframe, so to speak, oh, you know, there’s many, uh, there’s a lot of Eastern scripture about this. Um, the true self being connected to, to the, to the divine, to greater intelligence. So what we wanna do is we wanna think gather, but then understand that that’s different than feeling. So we can just start to sit with ourselves after, you know, um, gathering information before we make a big decision and see what arises for us, because it may be very different than what the information is, is telling us.
Kimberly: 18:21 So in my own life, you know, it’s, it’s like this, this intuition is, is, is where I, I rely on the, a lot as I move forward and what I’m talking about and the content I’m putting out, as far as, you know, what’s in my books, or what do I wanna be talking about? And I, I use that inner, inner feeling, inner knowing, because I know when I overthink or I try to push it to be a certain way to fit in with something, it never feels quite right. And it can also really feel like I’m overthinking and then I don’t get the best results, right? So it’s, it’s just going beyond thinking to create something more magical in our lives and to create more of that peace and that fulfillment, which is part of the magic and also the magic in terms of, of content and business success as well.
#3 Intuitive Tip: Meditate regularly
Kimberly: 19:12 So we wanna keep the body clean. Number two, we wanna really learn to feel the messages and beyond the thinking in our body and number three, meditating regularly, which is something that I’ve been talking about a lot over the past year or two, this is, this is where we learn to take our attention. And instead of always putting it outward to turn it back inward, so we start to feel, what is it like to be out of matter, you know, out of just doing all the time, sensing and perceiving with our, I sense is what’s going on inside of me and how do I connect to much bigger energy, again, meditation and yoga are about union. So it’s, what are we creating union with? It’s, it’s moving the energy away from our peripheral nervous system and having the energy flowing out, perceiving, taking information and bringing it back to us instead, creating with this, with our spine and our brain and the connection to the divine, the greater intelligence, the whole, the oneness that we are part of, but it’s so much bigger than us.
Kimberly: 20:25 So meditation is a very important way to regularly tune into the mainframe. So that day to day what’s happened in my life. And I’ll use as an example, the more I meditate, the more I feel, um, intuitive messages throughout the day, beyond what I’m asking for them beyond what I’m actually looking. It just sort of pops up because it creates more of inner relationship where, you know, um, we’re tuned in. So messages just come from the inside all the time. It’s a retraining of our energy. And in the beginning, it can feel very foreign. It can feel boring, it can feel hard. It can feel restless. I went through all these stages as well, but where I sit now today, after having meditated for over 13 years, now, I can say, oh, yes, it does. First of all, it does get easier. And also, um, it creates more of that inner attunement to your own intuition.
Kimberly: 21:17 So just meditating regularly will really strengthen. And there is a free meditation that we put out in our practical enlightenment meditation library over on the Sal Luna app, and also at our website, mysolluna.com called going inside for the answers. So let’s say there is something that you are wanting an answer about that particular meditation will guide you into going deep, deep down. And then in the really potent space, post meditation, asking the question, and then just sitting in way eating. And sometimes something will come up right away, something, it, sometimes it may come up later or later in the day or whatever, but just really starting to train ourselves that we don’t always have to go outside for the answers. Yes, we gather information we discern, but ultimately the final step in decision making is where we exercise our intuition and make that, that decision about how to move forward. It’s really, really important to listen, listen to the intuitive messages. So meditation allows the mind chatter to settle down, which can be really loud, the voice of the ego and the fear and the, what this, this, this, the anxiety, which is trying to protect us, but based on a lot of trauma from the past. So it keeps us very, um, restless and the mind always going. So it’s really important instead to quiet that down through meditation. So we can hear more.
#4 Intuitive Tip: Create more silence and stillness in your life
Kimberly: 22:46 Then my next intuitive tip number four is to create more silence and more stillness in your life. And I mean, besides meditation, the reason this is so important is because our nervous system is wired a certain way. And when we live in a very noisy world, our nervous system is trying to compensate for being around constant noise. So alerts going on the TV on, in the background or Netflix or the radio, you know, NPR news or the news on the TV all the time, right? Or just chatter all the time or loud music or whatever it is when there’s a lot of external noise and makes it far harder to discern the much more subtle, intuitive messages in of your intuition. So what I recommend is actually blocking out times where you can have real stillness, real silence. So that might mean, um, driving to the grocery store.
Kimberly: 23:52 You just practice a moment of silence. So you don’t turn on the radio, you don’t, you know, do a, do a phone call or whatever it is. You don’t maybe listen to a podcast in that moment. Of course, I want you to that in our podcast at some point, but it could be, you know, a moment where you’re taking a shower, you usually listen to this, or, you know, the, uh, podcast or radio, whatever the car, you just start to carve out times, which may feel foreign at first of actual silence. Silence is, is potent. Just have a moment to silence right now.
Kimberly: 24:35 You know, you start to feel like, oh, things emerge in the silence, including messages, sometimes feelings or emotions that we try to push down. And we don’t wanna feel them. We try to pretend they’re not there, but they never go away. It just means they can get stronger and stronger and erupt in the forums of, of insomnia or anxiety or whatever it is. So silence and stillness are really important to healing, to feeling whole, to creating more peace and more, a stronger intuition. So it doesn’t mean all day. You have to be silent, but just find some moments, find some stretches, may your morning, hot water with lemon or in the evening, just a little bit of silence while you’re getting ready, or, I mean, after meditation, that important moment, periods of silence to let things come forward and to journal about them. I love silence when I’m journaling and I sit and I journal and then I sit and then I journal.
Kimberly: 25:35 So it’s stillness and silence are things that are unusual, I would say in today’s world, because we’re used to filling things with a million different apps and conversations and TikTok and all these different things. But I promise you that silence and stillness have profound power. And once we introduce these as tools in our lives, we can start to create a lot of magic around that, because again, silence and stillness is not empty. It’s actually full of potentiality. It’s full of a lot of again, um, messages that may wanna come forward, that we need to give room and space forward so we can breathe into them and hear them in the first place. And so I think that’s, that’s really, um, really important as we move forward.
#5 Intuitive Tip: Maintain an air of neutrality
Kimberly: 26:40 And then my last, my last, uh, practical tip here that I think is really important is to maintain an air of neutrality. And what I mean by that is I’ve started to make a lot more room for, um, darkness in my life. This is something I’ve been talking about a lot in the Solluna Circle and our sacred, um, inner circle community, which you’re welcome to join the information is us on the app. It’s where we have a, an intimate daily support group, but the chat group, that’s very different than social media. It’s directed towards a theme. We meet once a month on zoom lives. We all talk together, but it’s really important that we are open because if we always just wanna feel happy or feel certain way we can block intuition. So let’s say, we’re just trying to, to keep things together. Then we may block the intuitive messages that it’s the right time to leave a relationship. For instance, you know, this is coming from my personal life or this isn’t moving forward.
Kimberly: 27:37 Um, you’re not exactly in a place and your partner’s exactly a place where you feel really happy. And maybe this is time to shift. Neutrality means some of the messages may require us to make shifts and changes that we may not wanna make, but ultimately it serves us, ultimately allows us to keep going. So if we’re really rigid and we’re stuck in like, no, it has to be this way. I have to do this project. I have to bang this out, you know, before the end of the year, da, da da. If we, we stay rigid, we put lock the messages because it’s our egos with a, with a preconceived agenda. And so we get sidetrack or we get, you know, just, uh, like in one track, mind neutrality means we’re open to flow. So maybe, you know, we can grieve with sadness. Oh, it didn’t work out the way I wanted it to, but it’s clear that I have to let this go now, or it’s clear that it didn’t work out, but I’m gonna go in this direction.
Kimberly: 28:33 And that strength, that resilience, that neutrality means that intuition can allow us to keep going, allowing our lives to open up in the best possible way for ourselves, with the growth, with the evolvement. And ultimately with the love, the connection, the fulfillment and the peace and the bliss that we’re looking for. We gotta be open to all the messages. So for me, I blocked myself for a long time because I didn’t wanna hear it and wanted it to work out always, but sometimes it’s it doesn’t, it’s not gonna work out or it’s not meant to work out the way we expected it to. And that’s so getting comfortable with, with, with darkness, making space for neutrality means that we can make space for the best decisions to come forward. The, the, the, the best message, the, the most powerful messages to come forward. And so sometimes we don’t wanna hear them, but sometimes, you know, it opens up and there’s that darkness.
Kimberly: 29:31 But I always find that the, the darkness, when we move through, it always leads to more light. It leads to more freedom. It leads to more expansion. And so it’s so important that we work towards more neutrality because we surrender with humility that we don’t know everything. And we’re part of this big divine plan. And sometimes things feel like they really suck, and we don’t wanna go through it. But ultimately on the other side, we can see, oh, this was so necessary for my growth. Oh man, I’m so glad it didn’t work out the away I wanted it to because this path actually has opened up so much more for me. And then the gratitude comes in.
Reviewing the 5 Core Ways to Strengthen Your Intuition for Daily Life
Kimberly: 29:31 So here we go. Let’s review these important ways to strengthen your intuition. Number one, keep the body clean. We have so many resources for you on this might be time to try the 30 Day Roadmap for Healthy Weight Loss, just to get back on track with food prep, learning how to take care of your bodies in the spring.
Kimberly: 30:27 Or we have infinite recipes, uh, lots of different body care information from articles courses, and so on books. Number two, learn to understand your feelings beyond your thoughts, the intuitive messages. And there’s a lot of PR practical practices to hone this in the new book, you are more than you think you are. Number three, meditate regularly, just start getting used to this whole new way of feeling messages and directing energy to the inside of you and to your spine and your brain and to the wisdom inside of you. Instead of always flowing out to what other people’s opinions and thoughts are. Number four, find moments of stillness and silence in your life. And this is so important because it allows you to be more attuned to the subtle messages of your intuition. Instead of being blocked up by your, all the noise and number five, make space for neutrality, start to drop rigidity more and more, and start to feel more of that powerful space of neutrality, which will allow you to open up your life and allow you to make decisions from this deeper or more powerful place of intuition.
