I know for food combining you’re not supposed to combine a protein with a starch but how bad is it to add protein powder into my oatmeal or tofu in my rice? Also, I like to add fruit to my oatmeal too, which I know is not properly combined but is it okay sometimes?
Alex– Dayton, OH
I have recently removed red meat and poultry from my diet. I am currently searching for great plant-based protein sources. All of the plant based sources that I have been trying either have too much fat or are loaded with tons of processed items. What are some plant based protein sources that are low in fat and not so process?
Judy- Toronto- CA
In regards to proteins like quinoa and nuts, how does proper food combining work when quinoa is both a protein and a starch. Also with nuts which are considered a protein and a fat?
Michelle- Boston, MA
I have recently started following a plant-based diet and feel that I am constantly struggling to make sure I am getting adequate protein intake. I honestly am not even sure how much or how little protein is needed for my body. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
