Welcome to the Feel Good Podcast with Kimberly Snyder. Our goal is to help you develop a lifestyle that promotes health, wholeness and healing.
Feeling Good means we tune in to our bodies and our intuition, including when we are actually hungry, eating and making lifestyle choices to feel energized and beautiful, what serves us and what doesn’t, and being in flow along our unique journeys. Feeling good, by following our daily practices, naturally leads to also looking good, in a much more powerful way from glowing skin created from within, clear eyes, a beautifully strong body, radiant energy and a level of peace from simply being comfortable with our perfectly imperfect selves.
This is our once a month Feel Good Circle Community show, where I feature two members of our Feel Good Circle Community on the show. This is a special edition that allows me to speak one on one with our community members and get real on all areas of life, with a focus on physical health, wellness, meditation and spirituality and personal empowerment.
I’m your host, Kimberly Snyder, founder of Solluna, New York Times best-selling author and nutritionist. :)

About Our December Feel Good Circle Member:
Today’s Special Feel Good Community Member is Cara Benny. She is 31 years old and living in Portland, OR. She is a high school counselor and is getting married in March 2019.
Cara joined the Feel Good Circle because she has always been an anxious person (panic attacks, IBS etc) and was looking for a more regular way to ground herself and incorporate more mindfulness and meditation into her life.

I was wondering if it’s ok to re-heat food on the stove top more than once or if the food will keep losing more nutrients each time? For example, I make marinara with lots of veggies blended in because it’s hard getting my kids to eat anything green right now. I usually freeze half the sauce and re-heat again later. Sometimes I re-heat pasta with the sauce again after that if there are any left overs. This was done with the microwave in the past but would it be better to eat foods cold after being cooked instead of heating up again and again or is the stove top ok just to warm through? Thanks Kim!
Hi Melissa and thanks for your great question. As we know, the more we cook our foods, we will lose more nutrients. However, you are doing the best you can in trying to get the best whole foods into your kiddos bodies, so give yourself some credit for that and if you need to reheat a couple of times, that should be okay. Going beyond that might be stretching it. I also agree to use the stove versus the microwave, which I saw you read over my other blog about this topic (bravo to you!). Progress not perfection. You sound like you’re doing amazingly. Keep up the great work in educating yourself and your children. Lots of love to you! ;)
